Job Summary:

The Senior Manager, Software Engineering is responsible for leading engineering teams to deliver complex software systems, ensuring reliable delivery and alignment with business priorities while developing engineering talent and driving execution across multiple initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Lead, coach, and mentor Software Engineers and Engineering Leads across one or more teams
• Drive talent strategy, including hiring, retention, succession planning, and performance management
• Set clear expectations, goals, and development plans aligned with organizational priorities
• Own delivery of major initiatives spanning multiple systems or domains
• Ensure predictable execution through strong planning, prioritization, and resource allocation
• Drive Agile execution discipline, including sprint planning, backlog management, and delivery metrics
• Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks; drive resolution
• Guide architectural decisions and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and long-term strategy
• Ensure systems are scalable, resilient, and secure, with appropriate observability and operational readiness
• Review and influence design, implementation, and testing approaches across teams
• Drive adoption of modern engineering practices (CI/CD, DevOps, automation, AI-assisted development, etc.)
