At EPIC Health, we're constantly improving the way healthcare is delivered. We are seeking an Implementation & Innovation Specialist to lead the successful rollout of operational initiatives, technology enhancements, and process improvements across our organization.

This role serves as the operational project manager for innovation initiatives, ensuring projects move efficiently from concept to implementation while minimizing disruption to daily operations. Working closely with Operations, Clinical Leadership, Information Technology, and Software Development, you'll coordinate projects, support pilot programs, develop training materials, and drive continuous improvement using Agile methodologies.

What You'll Do

Project Implementation

  • Coordinate multiple implementation projects from planning through stabilization.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, and implementation schedules.
  • Monitor project progress and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
  • Identify project risks and coordinate mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure projects remain aligned with organizational priorities and operational objectives.
  • Support enterprise-wide rollouts of operational and technology initiatives.

Agile Project Management

  • Utilize Agile principles to manage projects through iterative development and deployment.
  • Coordinate pilot implementations and phased rollouts.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to prioritize operational requests.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, testing, and implementation activities.
  • Monitor implementation success and recommend continuous improvements based on user feedback.

Operational Innovation

  • Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for workflow improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate existing processes and recommend scalable solutions.
  • Help design standardized workflows across multiple departments and locations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through rapid testing and refinement.
  • Translate operational needs into actionable project requirements.

Training & Education

  • Create training materials for new workflows, technologies, and operational processes.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Quick Reference Guides, job aids, process maps, and instructional videos.
  • Coordinate and deliver virtual and in-person training sessions.
  • Update educational materials as workflows evolve.
  • Support implementation readiness through effective staff education.

Change Management

  • Prepare departments for new technologies and operational processes.
  • Develop communication plans that encourage awareness and adoption.
  • Monitor implementation success and identify barriers to adoption.
  • Gather user feedback and recommend improvements.
  • Support operational leaders during organizational change initiatives.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Serve as the liaison between Operations, Clinical Leadership, Information Technology, Software Development, and Quality teams.
  • Coordinate implementation meetings and project updates.
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders throughout each project.
  • Track implementation metrics and project outcomes.
  • Coordinate enhancement requests and participate in post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and best practices.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Education, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in healthcare operations, project coordination, training, implementation, or process improvement.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams).
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple departments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in healthcare operations or ambulatory practice management.
  • Experience coordinating operational or technology implementation projects.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Lean, Scrum, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience creating SOPs, workflow documentation, training materials, or educational content.
  • Experience working with EHRs, workflow automation platforms, ERP systems, or project management software.
