Job description

Foreman - Data Center Security Projects

Location: Columbus, OH, Onsite

Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $40-$45/hour


About the Role: We are seeking a Foreman to supervise data center security projects onsite in the Columbus market for our client thatโ€™s an established systems integration company. This is a hands-on field leadership role responsible for day-to-day security project execution. This includes supervising installers/subcontractors, coordinating projects, and ensuring theyโ€™re completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.


The ideal candidate will have field leadership experience in electronic security, access control, video surveillance, fire alarm, or building automation systems and be comfortable remaining involved in the technical, hands-on aspects of projects. The Foreman will supervise and assist with installation, startup, troubleshooting, testing, commissioning, certification, and customer support as needed. A strong candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills when working with customers and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving project execution while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. They will also be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, to effectively manage project documentation, communication, and tracking of security-related projects.


Top 3 Qualifications:

  • 5โ€“7 years field supervision and installation experience in Electronic security systems, Fire alarm and life safety systems, and/or Building automation systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license with an acceptable driving record as you will need to travel regularly to local jobsites with minimal overnight travel.


Preferred Experiences:

  • Experience working in data centers or mission-critical environments.
  • Experience with physical security systems: access control platforms (Software House, Lenel, AMAG), video management systems (Genetec, Avigilon, Milestone, ONSSI), and/or IP video solutions (AXIS).
  • Relevant manufacturer certifications, industry certifications, or licenses.
