TechServ is looking for an Engineering Technician III to join our rapidly growing team of designers. This is a great opportunity to start your career in the Utilities and Telecommunication industry. Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Quality Assurance & Control: Develop and implement QA/QC procedures for engineering designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Design Review: Conduct thorough reviews of engineering designs and documentation to identify potential quality issues, inconsistencies, or deviations from specifications.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve design processes and methodologies to enhance quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of QA/QC activities, including design reviews, test results, and compliance reports.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams, project managers, and other departments to address quality issues and ensure that design specifications are met.
  • Training & Support: Provide guidance and support to engineering teams on QA/QC best practices, standards, and tools.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all designs and engineering practices adhere to relevant regulatory and industry standards.

Required Qualifications:
  • Experience: Proven experience in QA/QC engineering or design roles, with a strong understanding of quality assurance processes and design principles. Or have experience as an Engineering Technician II and/or a Trainer with TechServ.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in design and engineering software (e.g. client specific software including- DDS, GDT, Agis)
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge: approximately 3-5 years of design experience

Physical Requirements:
  • Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and standing
  • Alternate between sitting, standing, and moving about the office to access office equipment.
  • The ability to view a computer screen for extended periods, requiring good vision or corrective lenses if needed
  • Must be able to push, pull and/or lift up to 15 pounds at a time
  • Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner at all times

Working environment: Routine office environment
