We are currently hiring for the role of Panel Technician Trainee.

Summary

As a Panel Technician Trainee at Kele Inc., you will be responsible for assembling all components of electrical panels according to customer specifications. You’ll gain hands-on experience working with enclosures, protection, communication, and control devices. This includes switches, relays, transformers, transmitters, and switchboards, primarily for low-complexity or repeat panels, as defined by Kele’s internal standards.

You’ll have the chance to cross-train with experienced technicians, learn the full panel assembly process, and grow within the company, either by advancing through our Panel Technician track or exploring other internal opportunities as they arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares panel enclosures for panel build process;
  • Prewires panel when appropriate;
  • Cuts, strips, and mounts wire to connect electrical units;
  • Installs basic electrical assemblies and hardware in housing;
  • Plans, constructs, and assembles test panels for experimental and production testing;
  • Assembles basic wires, insulation, and electrical components, such as transformers and relays, following method layouts;
  • Assembles and tests control devices, switch panels, transformers and other electrical equipment and components;
  • Reviews project instructions and blueprints to ascertain specifications;
  • Keeps work area clean and in 5S condition.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Ability to learn and use company software, including Microsoft Office, Auto CAD, Visio, and scheduling software;
  • Ability to work in a safe manner while ensuring accuracy in all transactions and to meet and maintain the position’s production requirements.
