Job Summary:
Akuna Capital is an innovative trading firm specializing in options market-making through cutting-edge technology and data-driven solutions. The Software Engineer role involves designing and building complex trading systems, implementing efficient Linux services using modern C++ technologies, and collaborating with traders to enhance the trading platform.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Design and build mission-critical and complex trading systems
โ€ข Plan, design, and implement efficient, flexible, and resilient Linux services using modern C++ technologies
โ€ข Build software using Agile methodologies
โ€ข Participate in design sessions and code reviews
โ€ข Work on cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and solve complex problems
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 3+ years of experience developing performant, scalable applications in modern C++ (and at least 2 years with C++ 20 or 23; template metaprogramming a plus)
โ€ข Experience with Linux and Python required
โ€ข Understanding of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, multi-threading, and asynchronous execution
โ€ข Object-oriented design and programming experience
โ€ข Ability to take on projects and drive them through to completion in a timely manner
โ€ข The ability to react quickly and accurately to rapidly changing market conditions, including the ability to quickly and accurately respond and/or solve math and coding problems are essential functions of the role
