Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • RPA & Automation Development
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy RPA bots and automation workflows to support operational and revenue cycle processes (e.g., insurance verification, order processing, task closure, non-billable order handling).
  • Build maintainable, resilient automations that interact with web applications, APIs, and enterprise systems.
  • Implement error handling, logging, alerting, and retry mechanisms to ensure automation reliability.
  • Systems Integration
  • Integrate RPA solutions with internal platforms, third-party vendors, and downstream systems using APIs, services, and automation triggers.
  • Collaborate with platform teams using tools such as Power Automate, cloud flows, and bot orchestration frameworks, where applicable.
  • Process Optimization
  • Partner with business, operations, and clinical-adjacent teams to identify automation opportunities and redesign manual processes for efficiency and scalability.
  • Translate business process requirements into technical automation designs.
  • Monitoring & Support
  • Monitor production automations, investigate failures, and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Enhance existing bots to accommodate system changes, rule updates, or new compliance requirements.
  • Governance, Security & Compliance
  • Ensure automations align with HIPAA, security, and internal governance standards.
  • Follow best practices for credential management, access controls, auditability, and change management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or Automation Engineer.
  • Hands-on experience with RPA platforms (e.g., UiPath, Power Automate Desktop, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or similar).
  • Strong programming skills in at least one language (C#, Python, JavaScript, or equivalent).
  • Experience working with APIs, JSON, REST services, and system integrations.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and deployment pipelines.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience building automations in healthcare, revenue cycle management, or regulated industries.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform, cloud automation, or hybrid RPA/API designs.
  • Experience supporting production automations with SLAs and monitoring.
  • Understanding of secure credential storage, secrets management, and role-based access.
  • Ability to explain technical automation concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

· Manual, error-prone workflows are reliably automated and scaled.

· Automations reduce cycle time and operational overhead without introducing risk.

· Bots are stable, observable, and auditable in production.

· Business teams trust automation as a core execution layer.
