Job description

Our Reston team is seeking a mid-level Infrastructure Engineer to help build, deploy, and operate the systems that support mission-focused software in production. This role is for someone who can improve how software moves from development into operational environments, while ensuring those environments remain reliable, observable, and maintainable. A successful candidate will work across containerized deployments, release automation, production monitoring, incident response, and integrations with external systems. The strongest candidates will bring hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker, solid software development fundamentals, and the ability to deliver reliable platform solutions in secure, operationally constrained environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build release pipelines to deploy code both on-premises and on deployed systems
  • Incident Response to ensure high uptime of deployed software
  • Facilitate integrations with other systems
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, applied math, or related field
  • At least 3 years of industry experience
  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
  • Experience in Helm, Kubernetes, and Docker
  • Proven experience and understanding of software deployment lifecycles on both cloud platforms and local on-premises hardware
  • Software Development experience in Java, Rust or Typescript/React
  • Ability to work effectively with researchers, engineers, and end users to translate technical concepts into usable software
  • Familiarity with full-stack web application development in any frameworks/languages
  • U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED; successful candidates will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience using ADO, Gitlab, ArgoCD or similar CI/CD tools
  • Experience with Keycloak or similar authentication systems
  • Experience with logging tools such as Grafana, Loki, and Alloy
  • Incident Responseย 
  • Experience facilitating integrations with other systems

*The selected individual(s) will be required to work from the Reston, VA office 5 days a week
