Description
Provides PCC management with metrics, guest insights and market driven recommendations to aid in strategic and operational decision making. Works as a field researcher and coordinates and participates in data analysis and data collection projects. Reports to the VP/Chief Marketing Officer concerning progress of research projects. Reports the progress on research projects to the appropriate manager and VP.
Essential Functions:
  • Maintains guest survey and data flow into Power BI.
  • Manages student workers, approves hours, makes assignments, conducts Kokua meetings, schedules weekly staff meetings, and other administrative tasks.
  • Maintains people counting equipment including 3D HMP, Kam Hwy radar, parking lot tire, and PFHOF and Ukulele Exp beam counters and data flow into Power BI.
  • Coordinates and conducts research projects, data analysis, reports, and management presentations.

Requirements
  • Have an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, Marketing, or Psychology with interest in technical projects.
  • Be fluent in the English language and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Personal interviewing experience is desired.
  • Mentors and demonstrates the use of department procedures to fellow workers and volunteers. Helps train others as needed in procedures and software.
  • Knows and uses current research design procedures in running studies, analyzing data, and reporting results.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A minimum of two year's work experience in marketing research. This should include familiarity with Qualtrics and Sawtooth software interviewing systems, and the Power BI knowledge base system for reporting.
  • Have applications programming experience with a good understanding of statistical software (R) and programming languages (python, java, and JavaScript).
  • Desirable for candidate to have applications programming experience with a good understanding of programming languages (python, java, and JavaScript). Should understand basic statistics and data analysis. Should have Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
