About The Role

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century's most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril's family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AIโ€‘powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realโ€‘time, 3โ€‘D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cuttingโ€‘edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

About The Team

As a part of Anduril's Internal Tools team you will be architecting and implementing missionโ€‘critical applications that enforce lean business processes, add multiplicative leverage to Anduril employees, and scale Anduril into a nextโ€‘generation defense prime. You will be an integral part of building out Forge, Anduril's custom supply chain, manufacturing, and deployment mission execution software. We spend time on the factory floor, then provide solutions for the issues the factory faces.

About The Job

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our internal tools team. You will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining our internal tech stack, directly enhancing the productivity and efficiency of our entire organization.

What You'll Do
  • Design and develop scalable and reliable systems.
  • Collaborate closely with customers to identify requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Develop and maintain robust APIs, SDKs, and comprehensive documentation for systems.
  • Integral part of building out Forge, Anduril's custom supply chain, manufacturing, and deployment mission execution software.
  • Act as a first responder to integrating new technologies into the Forge ecosystem, especially in the physical space. Badge scanning, SCADA integrations...
  • Support Forge onโ€‘call efforts, including quickly developing a deep understanding of manufacturing and ERP.
  • Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
  • Expertise in developing custom software solutions that optimize production processes, analyze manufacturing data, and drive industryโ€‘changing improvements.
  • Proficient in programming languages relevant to industrial applications, have experience with data analytics and visualization, and understand the principles of modern manufacturing.
  • 5+ years of experience in a software engineering role building products, ideally in a fastโ€‘paced environment.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or related technical degree.
  • Experience working with large enterprise applications and platforms with high availability requirements.
  • Proficiency with webโ€‘based technologies such as Javascript, React, Typescript, and web frameworks such as Remix or NextJS.
  • Ability to empathize with endโ€‘users, to turn needs into features, and to balance user experience with engineering constraints.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • We encourage people from all backgrounds to apply but our tech stack uses AWS, Typescript, and React/Remix so proficiency with all of these tools and languages would be useful.
  • Experience in hyper growth startupโ€‘like environments, with demonstrated successes in scaling and maturing software development processes, team culture and methods, and ability to balance shortโ€‘term and longโ€‘term trade offs.
  • Experience in manufacturing industries with hands on experience on assembly lines.
