About the Role
The Customer Success Engineering team is dedicated to providing a seamless support experience for Remitly customers worldwide. We empower our global operations teams to ensure customers get the help they need, whenever they need it. As a member of this team, you will be directly responsible for enhancing both the customer and agent experience, ensuring frictionless access to support.
As a Fullstack Software Engineer, you will focus on driving innovation and expanding our new, next-generation Customer Success platform by architecting new workflows and launching entirely new, high-impact capabilities. You will build rich, intuitive user experiences that empower our agents and customers alike, while capitalizing on unique opportunities to integrate Agentic AI for inbound contact handling and back-office automation. This is a high-visibility role, perfect for someone passionate about making a significant impact, eager to take on ownership, and driven to learn. You will be responsible for workflows that immediately impact our core user experiences while working in tandem with world-class Product and cross-functional engineering teams.

You Will

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, high-quality software solutions.
  • Design and implement responsive user interfaces that enhance usability and deliver a seamless experience for internal and external Remitly users.
  • Architect and implement solutions for complex, ambiguous problems using full-stack technologies (TypeScript, React, Java/Kotlin, Go).
  • Design, build, and deploy agentic AI applications to optimize inbound customer contact handling and automate back-office operations.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with team members to maintain code quality and standards.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of our applications
  • Report directly to an Engineering Manager within the Customer Success Technology organization.

You Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on frontend development for web applications.
  • Professional experience with one of the following programming languages: TypeScript, JavaScript, Kotlin, Java, Go.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming concepts
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Hands-on experience leveraging modern AI development tools (such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor) to accelerate development, debugging, and code optimization.
  • Bonus: Experience or exposure to AI engineering applications is a plus!

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $124,000 to $155,000 CAD. In the U.S. and Canada, Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
