ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TS/SCI POLYGRAPH LEVEL IS REQUIRED

Deliver high-impact software solutions that power real-world analytics, complex algorithms, and large-scale data processing! In this role, you will design, maintain, and enhance complex software systems spanning processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm implementations, and massive dataset manipulation. You won't just write code—you’ll dive into system design, conduct hardware/software trade-off evaluations, optimize COTS/GOTS integrations, and ensure strict alignment with core operational requirements. Whether working independently or alongside an agile dev team, if you thrive on building resilient code, resolving complex software problem reports, and delivering mission-critical technology end-users love, you’ll fit right in with Team Nyla.

The annual base salary range for this role is $104,000-$123,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.

, Required Skills
  • Software Development Expertise: Proven proficiency in modern object-oriented or functional programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python, or Go).

  • System Architecture Trade-offs: Practical experience evaluating software reuse, system trade-offs, and integrating COTS/GOTS products into technical architectures.

  • Large-Scale Data Handling: Experience writing performant code designed to process, manipulate, or query complex or large-scale datasets.

  • Software Testing Debugging: Strong background reviewing, testing, and debugging complex software components, with a proven ability to resolve software problem reports.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline OR High School Diploma / GED, PLUS 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in lieu of a degree.

, Desired Skills
  • Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with modern Agile software development practices, continuous integration, and version control systems (Git).

  • Real-time Distributed Systems: Experience engineering low-latency, real-time processing systems or distributed cloud computing frameworks.

  • Algorithm Optimization: Background refining novel algorithms or tuning system memory and CPU utilization for heavy analytical workloads.

  • Containerization Deployment: Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and automated deployment pipelines (CI/CD).
