Job description

ASI General Contractors is seeking a dynamic and talented Superintendent with a passion for delivering high-quality retail tenant improvement projects. With a minimum of 3-5 years of commercial construction experience, the ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, leading project execution in ASI’s core markets, including retail, banking and fast food. This role demands strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to fostering safe and efficient jobsites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Scheduling & Monitoring: Develop, update, and distribute weekly 3-week look-ahead schedules, track project progress, and evaluate the impact of changes to ensure timely completion.
  • Collaborative Project Management: Work closely with Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Jobsite Logistics: Manage logistics, ensuring smooth operations while maintaining positive relationships with surrounding communities, occupants, and stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Negotiate with relevant authorities to meet project occupancy milestones and act as ASI’s primary field representative in interactions with clients, design teams, and subcontractors.
  • Safety Leadership: Champion ASI’s commitment to a safe, injury-free work environment by enforcing safety protocols and maintaining compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Subcontractor Management: Coordinate work scopes, schedules, and resource allocation for subcontractors to optimize project efficiency and quality.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve complex issues on-site, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines and budgets.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a commercial tenant improvement superintendent, preferably in retail projects, with a proven track record of managing projects valued over $500K (please include a list of completed projects with your resume).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Certifications: OSHA 30 certification is required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and project management software (e.g., Autodesk, Procore, or similar).
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges proactively and efficiently.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and people skills for leading teams, managing subcontractors, and fostering collaborative problem resolution.
  • Work Ethic: A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a strong work ethic and adaptability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Salary Range:

$100,000 – $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
