Job Summary:
INSPYR Solutions is a national expert in delivering flexible technology and talent solutions. They are seeking a Software Development Engineer for their Software & Networking team to design, build, test, and deploy end-to-end services and features that integrate with satellites and ground stations.
Responsibilities:
• design, build, test, and deploy end to end services and features
• build and own the core ground services that integrate with satellites and the ground stations
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of professional backend software development experience
• Strong experience with Java, including object‐oriented principles, data structures, and design patterns for building scalable, reliable backend services
• Experience with backend API development, distributed systems, and service‐oriented architectures
• Experience with CDK/TypeScript or similar frameworks
• Experience with AWS technologies such as API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch
• Demonstrated ability to design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise‐scale backend features end‐to‐end, including working within existing codebases
• Experience contributing to design requirements and solution development for critical or highly reliable systems
• Ability to think strategically about system‐wide impact, mitigate risk, and deploy safely in environments where services must remain operational
• Comfort working on backend systems used by embedded customer teams, including those operating software on satellites and antennas
• Ability to build and operate services that support highly distributed, mission‐critical workloads with many downstream consumers
Preferred:
• Experience with mission‐critical or safety‐sensitive systems
• Experience designing or operating services with large numbers of clients and APIs
• Familiarity with configuration‐driven software deployment or systems that enable safe changes without impacting live operations
• Experience using AI‐assisted development tools (e.g., Q CLI, Claude Code)
