This is a 1st shift position with the following hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
What You Will Do
  • Performs maintenance and repairs of mechanical, electrical, and other physical structures.
  • Trouble shoot and repair electronic and mechanical problems on equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, and plumbing.
  • Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs facility mechanical components and electrical systems.
  • Performs machine repair and general preventative maintenance on equipment in compliance with preventative maintenance programs.
  • Provides support in the development and implementation of facility and equipment upgrades.
  • Maintains all paperwork to document repair and preventative maintenance work completed.
  • Working with chemicals and maintaining Hazardous Waste manifests.
  • Complies with SOP's (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications, and safety policies.
  • May perform other duties as assigned
  • Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards for Safe work practice, hazard assessment and mitigation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of machinery and mechanical systems.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Maintenance Management System (Enfor) as well as common office technology including MS office suite of software and other Web based tools.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Knowledge in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge in pumps, motors, valve, and actuator operation.
