Job Summary:
Elliott Electric Supply is seeking a Software Project Manager to lead and oversee the successful execution of software development projects. The role involves planning, managing resources, coordinating teams, mitigating risks, and maintaining clear communication with the Chief Information Officer throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
• Define project scope, create detailed work plans, set timelines, and allocate resources effectively.
• Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address issues.
• Track project progress against established milestones, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
• Communication with Chief Information Officer
• Monitor project budget, identify cost variances, and implement necessary adjustments to stay within financial constraints.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards by overseeing testing processes and addressing identified defects.
• Possess a strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall), project management tools, and relevant technologies.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Proven experience as a Project Manager, managing complex projects from inception to completion
• Expertise in project management tools (Jira, Asana, etc.)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to sit for long periods of time
• Ability to frequently bend, lift and climb
Preferred:
• Knowledge of DevOps practices
• Agile certification (PMI-ACP, CSM)
