Software Solutions Lead - AI Solutions - Long-term contract - Hybrid

Our direct client in Northern NJ is seeking an experienced AI Software Solutions Lead to help design software functionality that will enable the business to tackle new types of client opportunities, leveraging AI technologies.   The client has a large, custom application used globally across their business, and the system is flexible enough to accommodate new business workflows, and they are building new AI functionality into it.  

In this role, the Solutions Lead will be part of a large software development practice, leveraging technical software design skills and knowledge of custom software functionality to partner with the business and technical teams. The goal is to define, build, and deliver new application functionality that meets evolving business needs. We are specifically looking for someone who is product-focused and able to think strategically about aligning technology solutions with business objectives. Experience with AI-driven solutions is a must. 

This is an immediate hire position, offered as a long-term contract (18–36 months+) with potential to convert to a permanent employee role if mutually desired.  The client is located in Northern NJ, and the position is hybrid: 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) in the office for close collaboration with SMEs and technical team members, and 2 days working remotely. Candidates in the Dallas, TX or Orlando, FL areas will also be considered.

Desired Experience:

  • 8+ years working on custom software development projects

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Solutions Lead, Solutions Engineer, Software Development Manager, or Product Owner/Manager

  • Strong product mindset, with experience shaping and delivering product-focused solutions

  • Experience with commercial software product development or large-scale internal corporate software product initiatives is a must

  • Experience in Microsoft/Azure custom development environments is a plus

  • Experience with AI/ML-enabled solutions is a must

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
