Section 1: Position Summary

As an Associate Engineer at Ascensus, you will be working in a high-energy team,deliveringhigh quality softwareusing the best engineering practices inindustrytoday.Curiosity and passion for software developmentiscritical. We are building teams that are empoweredwithAI capabilities andinnovativetoolsto solve business needsusinga rapid development and deployment pipeline focusedonAI,automation,and rapid iteration.

As a Scrum team member, you willbe responsible fordelivering solutions that adhere to the software architecture strategy, coding standards, andestablishedorganizational policies and procedures.

Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

  • Analyze, implement, test, document andmaintainnew and current software applications with minimal oversight in support of achievingthe businessgoals.
  • Assistin estimating and planning throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Support people and process improvement strategies for the organization.
  • Assistwith other tasks and projects as assigned

Section 3: Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements

  • Up to twoyears offull timeprofessionalexperience developing software & systems for small to medium business environmentsthroughinternships,Co-opsor professional experience.
  • Working experience in one or more programmingor scriptinglanguages
  • Experience in using Generative AI tools for software development
  • Understanding of object-oriented design, datastructuresand algorithms
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Passion for developing software
  • Qualified candidates must complete a video interview assessment after applying as the next step, to be completed within 7 days of receiving the link.
