Department: Engineering


Summary:

This position is responsible for researching, planning, developing, designing, and modifying mechanical and/or hydraulic products and systems; and directing and coordinating activities involved in the fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical and/or hydraulic products and systems; and assisting other engineering personnel with design and manufacturing standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist engineering personnel with daily duties and/or facilitating interface between engineering drawings and design and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Acts as a liaison from the engineering department to our production/ manufacturing department(s).
  • Assists engineering personnel in fabrication of equipment, and development of methods and procedures for testing products or systems.
  • Designs and/or modifies mechanical and/or hydraulic products and systems to interface with machines and equipment using computer aided design/drafting equipment and software.
  • Assists in other engineers in design and installation activities if needed to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
  • Coordinates operation, maintenance and repair activities if needed to obtain optimum utilization of machines and equipment.
  • Creates parts numbers and bills of materials using MRP system.
  • Provides technical assistance to Sales, Service, Rebuild and Parts Departments as needed.
  • Processes engineering change orders relating to design changes, electrical changes, and hydraulic changes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
