Description

This role is 100% remote but candidates must sit in Washington. The most important thing for this role is someone who is passionate about learning and picking up new things. This role needs a solid full stack mid level developer but if they only have C#/.Net, Angular and Azure and an appetite to learn and grow, they can get this job and do well.

About the Role

The Application Developer III is a crucial contributor to solving complex development challenges. This role involves becoming a domain expert and crafting scalable, reliable applications and services. Working closely with the Development Lead, the individual will play a key role in establishing and adopting technical standards and guidelines, with a focus on ensuring security and quality.

To be successful in this role, you:

• Possess bachelor’s degree in a related subject or an equivalent combination of education and highly relevant experience required.

• Have a minimum of seven (7) years of Software Development experience. MCP Servers, Lang Chain, Agentic Frameworks.

• Have a minimum some healthcare experience, with a strong preference for experience in the health insurance or related healthcare industry, including work with state and federal government health insurance programs.

• Have a minimum of 3 years of experience working with large-scale enterprise applications.

Essential functions and Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain multiple business applications in accordance with the technical standards guidelines for security and quality.

• Lead the development of assigned work including on advanced level projects.

• Mentor other developers when needed.

• Assist and backup the Lead Developer when needed.

• Strong proficiency with AI tools and emerging technologies, actively applying them in development work and guiding team adoption of AI-enabled productivity practices.

• Develop and maintains unit tests within a unit testing framework.

• Comply with program source code control, defect tracking, application development life cycle, and all other departmental processes and procedures.

• Work with scrum team to prepare user story and task estimates, and burn down status, and define internal processes and practices.

• Work with Atlassian Jira for work item tracking and participate in regularly updating progress status.

• Participate in code reviews.

• Share knowledge expertise, mentor, and assist other developers on the development team.

• Assist the Development Lead in implementing applications as part of the architectural design for the CHPW platform.

• Maintain current and relevant skills and knowledge related to software applications development.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of object-oriented development methodologies.

• Advanced sills with creating, understanding, and working with Applications design.

• Advanced skills with C#, HTML, T-SQL, JavaScript/CSS, Angular, .NET 10.

• Advanced skills with building both front-end features and REST web services.

• Advanced skills with Entity Framework and being proficient working with SQL databases and cloud data storage systems, such as Snowflake and Azure Data Lakes with Synapse Analytics.

• Advanced skills with Azure asset management and/or DevSecOps.

• Proficient with developing security authentication features.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58.00 - $65.00/hr.
