This is a24-month technical development program focused on industrial maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and commissioning of food and beverage processing and packaging equipment at customer manufacturing sites.This role is designed for early-career technical graduates from associate degree, certification, or hands-on technical programs.
What you will do
As a Future Talent - Maintenace Engineer Trainee, you will learn to:
  • Perform preventive, corrective, and reliability-focused maintenance
  • Diagnose and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and automation faults
  • Support equipment installation, commissioning, and startup activities
  • Interpret electrical schematics
  • Use PLC software (e.g., Allen-Bradley and Siemens) for diagnostics and functional checks
  • Apply root cause analysis and continuous improvement practices
  • Complete service documentation and maintenance records
  • Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO), machine safety, and site-specific safety procedures
  • Collaborate with experienced service engineers, technicians, and customer maintenance teams

Location & Travel Requirements
  • Home-based position
  • Candidates must be located on or near the U.S. East Coast
  • Primary customer support will focus on New York and surrounding regions
  • Role requires up to 80% domestic travel to customer production facilities

Program Eligibility
  • Graduation or expected graduation between 2023 and 2026
  • Willingness to travel for on-site customer support
  • Valid U.S. driver's license required
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Career Progression
Upon successful completion of the 24-month program, trainees are prepared to move into a field-based service or maintenance engineering role, supporting customer equipment uptime, performance, and reliability.

Pay Equity
Tetra Pak provides the following compensation range that in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
Ranges are determined by role, level and location. Within the range, individual pay is defined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule. The estimate displayed is just one component of Tetra Pak's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include annual performance bonus, competitive benefits, and work-related allowances.
  • Annual Base Salary Range (ABS): $54,000.00- $62,500.00.
  • Short-term Incentive/Bonus (Variable Pay): Eligible to performance incentive of 10% of ABS.
