biBerk is building a cloud-first, API driven, dynamic insurance platform that enables customers to purchase insurance policies directly online. As we expand our team, we are adding experienced software innovators to enhance our development efforts.
We are seeking a MarTech Developer Team Lead to guide the development, integration, and optimization of our marketing technology stack.
This role combines technical expertise with leadership skills and will be responsible for the ecosystems that enable modern marketing functions. Developers in this role will lead a dev team, help coordinate the day-to-day activities of various team members, assist the team with roadblocks, and lead planning sessions.
This developer will work closely with our marketing team and product owners to become a subject matter expert (SME) on marketing needs and deliver IT solutions that support important business priorities. They will also serve as individual contributors on the dev team, taking on tasks for both technical design and development.
This is a hybrid remote role that requires onsite presence in Pittston, PA at least once every other month. Candidates must live within a reasonable driving distance of either the Pittston, PA or Omaha, NE BHDIC office for required onsite meetings as needed in whichever BHDIC office is local to the employee.
Job Responsibilities
  • Lead a cross functional, agile development team including members from development, quality assurance, and business analysts
  • Serve as technical SME for platforms and tools used to plan, execute, automate, and measure biBerk's marketing activities.
  • Translate marketing and business goals into clear technical requirements
  • Lead a cross functional, agile development team including members from development, quality assurance, and business analysts
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to include including pair programming, code reviews, demos, group/1:1 coaching, and career development planning
  • Design solutions to meet business objectives while fitting into the enterprise platform ecosystem
  • Contribute to cross-team platform design decisions
  • Collaborate with Product owners to ensure that requirements are understood, and short-term and long-term business objectives are met
  • Follow department-wide technical, process, and quality standards while contributing to their improvement
  • Participate in staffing decisions including interviews and hiring
  • Take a lead role in creating technical documentation and content, ensuring that knowledge is transferred across the team
  • Day to day code contributions to our repo completing user stories/tasks
  • Guide the team regarding unit testing; collaborate closely with QA leadership to guarantee successful functional and regression testing of all features
  • Ensure that the team achieves system performance goals
  • Lead the dev team to think with a security first mindset
  • Take ownership of problems and solutions, being proactive to ensure success
  • Provide innovative problem-solving skills, thinking outside the box
  • Normal working hours based on Eastern US time

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science/related field or equivalent working experience
  • 5 to 10 years of experience as a software developer, with 2 to 5+ years specifically collaborating with marketing teams to design solutions in marketing-related ecosystems such as:
  1. AdTech systems (Demand-Side Platforms, tracking pixels, conversion tracking, etc...)
  2. Marketing Technology (CRM, campaign automation tools, retention of known customers, etc...)
  3. Marketing analytics such as GA4
  4. A/B testing platforms such as Kameleoon
  • Excellent programming, debugging, and troubleshooting skills with C#, .NET, TypeScript and SPA frameworks (Angular, React, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience leading development teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, collaboration capabilities, and attention to detail
  • Experience working on large software development projects while collaborating across multiple agile teams
  • Preferred Knowledge and Experience:
  • Commercial Property and Casualty insurance experience
  • Practical working knowledge of ASP.NET MVC, and .NET Core
  • Experience with TypeScript and SPA frameworks (Angular, React, etc.)

In accordance with pay transparency laws and regulations, the following good faith compensation range estimate is being provided. The salary range for this position is $114,500 - $160,000 per year. Final compensation will be based on candidate qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.
