Job Summary:

TheProductInformationSpecialistis responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of allproductdata across the organization. This role ownsproductlabeling, specifications, and item setup, ensuring alignment with federal, state, and customer requirements. The position works cross-functionally with operations, QA, purchasing, and sales to maintain consistent, audit-readyproductinformationacross all systems andproduction sites.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Maintain working knowledge of allfederal, state, and local regulationsrelated toproductlabeling (FSMA, FDA, USDA, etc.)
  • Own and manageproductlabeling across allproduction facilities, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain a centralized, up-to-dateledger of all labelsused across sites
  • Create, update, and maintainproductspecification documents(ingredients, allergens, nutritionals, pack details, etc.)
  • Create and maintainitem records in Microsoft Dynamics NAV, ensuring data accuracy and completeness
  • Manage and maintainproductdata withinGDSN (via Syndigo), ensuring synchronization with trading partners
  • Develop and maintainBills of Materials (BOMs)to reflect accurateproductstructures
  • Ensuredata consistency across systems(ERP, labeling software, GDSN, spec sheets)
  • Supportlabel design and updatesusing CodeSoft, LabelView, or similar tools
  • Audit and validateproductand label data to ensureaccuracy across all systems and facilities
  • Collaborate withQA,production, purchasing, and sales teamsto gather and validateproductinformation
  • Maintainversion control and change management processesfor allproductand label updates
  • Ensure allproductdata and documentation isorganized, accurate, and audit-ready
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong understanding ofGS1 standards(GTINs, barcoding,producthierarchy, case/pallet configurations)
  • Experience maintainingproductdata inGDSN platforms (Syndigo preferred)
  • Familiarity withfood labeling regulations(FSMA, FDA, USDA)
  • Experience withMicrosoft Dynamics NAVor similar ERP systems
  • Working knowledge oflabel design software(CodeSoft, LabelView, or equivalent)
  • Strong proficiency inMicrosoft Excel, including formulas and data management
  • Experience creating and maintainingproductspecifications and BOMs
  • Understanding offoodproduction environments, including traceability and lot control
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability toidentify and resolve discrepancies
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintainhigh data accuracy
  • Experience working withcross-functional teamsin aproduction or manufacturing environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience inegg, protein, or perishable food manufacturing
  • Familiarity withcustomer/retailer data requirements(e.g., Walmart, Kroger)

Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Food Science, Engineering, or Quality Control) is preferred.
  • Previous experience in quality control, manufacturing, or food production is preferred. Familiarity with quality control systems and techniques is highly beneficial.
  • Certification in quality control (e.g., Six Sigma, HACCP) is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time during inspections and report preparation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, particularly when handling product samples or materials.
  • Ability to use standard quality control tools, including measuring instruments, testing equipment, and computers.
  • Ability to walk around the production floor and plant area to monitor processes and inspect products.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions that may be present on the production floor.
  • Ability to focus on and identify small details when conducting inspections and examinations of products.
