Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Senior TBMA Administrator for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Insurance clients in (Remote) .
The Senior TBMA ... Apptio & Technology Business Management (TBM) is responsible for leading the operational delivery, enhancement, and governance of enterprise technology cost transparency, infrastructure allocation, Application Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and capitalization processes utilizing the Apptio platform and TBM framework.
This individual will serve as a key liaison between Infrastructure teams, the TBM Office, Finance, Service Owners, and Portfolio stakeholders to support Lean Portfolio Management (LPM), financial transparency, and strategic technology investment decisions. The role also includes coaching and mentoring junior TBMA team members while helping drive the continued maturity of the organization's Apptio and TBM capabilities.
The environment is highly mature and complex, with an established enterprise Cost Transparency allocation model and Agile Costing methodologies already implemented to support capitalization without timesheets. Current initiatives are heavily focused on infrastructure allocation enhancements, Cloudability integration improvements, and achieving more accurate Application TCO modeling across the enterprise.
The ideal candidate will bring deep hands on expertise with Apptio configuration, strong TBM framework knowledge, and the ability to quickly understand highly customized allocation models and begin delivering value immediately.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead administration, configuration, enhancement, and operational support of the ApptioOne platform and TBM environments
  • Design, maintain, and optimize complex Cost Transparency allocation models
  • Partner with Infrastructure teams and Service Owners to improve infrastructure and shared services cost allocation accuracy
  • Support the evolution of Application TCO and Lean Portfolio Management initiatives
  • Build and enhance TBM financial models in collaboration with the TBM Office and Finance teams
  • Support Agile Costing and capitalization processes without traditional time tracking methodologies
  • Lead testing, validation, and deployment activities for Apptio enhancements and configuration changes
  • Participate in month end financial governance and reporting processes
  • Serve as a liaison between Infrastructure, Finance, TBM Office, and Portfolio stakeholders
  • Coach and mentor junior TBMA team members and provide technical guidance on best practices
  • Support integrations and data ingestion activities across ServiceNow, Clarity, Rally, and Cloudability platforms
Required Qualifications
  • 6 to 8+ years of hands on Apptio Cost Transparency configuration and implementation experience across enterprise environments
  • Strong expertise with TBM framework concepts, allocation methodologies, and IT Financial Management
  • Deep experience with Apptio configuration models and customized allocation structures
  • Proven experience supporting Infrastructure allocation enhancements and Application TCO initiatives
  • Strong ServiceNow integration and data management experience
  • Experience working directly with Infrastructure teams, Service Owners, Finance, and TBM stakeholders
  • Experience supporting both new development initiatives and ongoing platform maintenance within ApptioOne
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and stakeholder communication skills
  • Experience testing and validating platform enhancements and allocation logic
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Apptio expert certifications strongly preferred
  • Experience with Cloudability data ingestion and processing
  • Experience integrating Apptio with Clarity and Rally
  • Prior experience within banking or insurance environments preferred
  • Experience mentoring or leading junior technical team members
