JOB SUMMARY DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB
This position is responsible for the Software Testing of Starkey Lab's various software products to ensure that high quality products are shipped to our end customers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/RESULTS
  • Conduct Software Testing on software applications

    • Perform system level testing on Starkey's Software and Hardware systems working either in a team or independently.
    • Follow standard Configuration Management practices and utilize a defect tracking tool. Tracking quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts
    • Resolve and provide solutions to internal and external customer related issues.
    • Participate in the development and implementation of structured testing concepts, methodologies and automated testing tools where applicable.

  • Provide and promote internal communication between Software Engineering and other functional groups within the organization.

    • Interact closely with the Software Engineering development team and assist software developers with problem resolutions.
    • Resolve and provide solutions to internal and external customer related issues.
    • Attend project core team meetings

  • Release high quality software on time and within budget.
  • Provide quality software improvements where Software Test can benefit from.
  • Properly handling conflicts and issues in a timely fashion and escalating when necessary.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
  • 4-year degree or equivalent required.

Experience
  • Minimum of 1 - 2 years of software test / quality assurance experience

Knowledge / Technical Requirements
  • Understanding of Software development lifecycle principles required.
  • High degree of computer literacy required.

Competencies, Skills & Abilities
  • Demonstrated excellent relationship management ability.
  • Experience in Window based operating systems and PC's.
  • Ability to work on fast-paced, team-oriented environment, handling multiple priorities.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and test skills required.
  • Demonstrate reliability along with the ability to drive for results.
  • Able to collaborate and function effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The target pay rate for this position is between $26.65 - $35.34 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include: geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is eligible for a bonus based upon performance results. There is no guarantee of payout.
