Periodontal Dental Assistant - Southern MN Periodontics *Sign on Bonus*

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Periodontal Dental Assistant to support our periodontist in providing high-quality periodontal and implant care. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable in periodontal procedures, and committed to excellent patient care and infection control standards. 

Schedule: Full Time, M-TH and half day on Friday


Responsibilities
  • Assist the periodontist during periodontal surgeries and procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms and ensure proper sterilization of instruments and equipment
  • Take and process dental radiographs
  • Mix and prepare dental materials (cements, impression materials, sutures, membranes)
  • Perform suctioning, retraction, and instrument transfer during procedures
  • Educate patients on periodontal disease, post-op care, and oral hygiene instructions
  • Document clinical notes accurately in the dental software
  • Assist with scheduling, treatment coordination, and case presentations as needed
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control regulations
  • Manage inventory and restock clinical supplies
  • Please note that additional responsibilities may be assigned

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Dental Assistant license with the state of MN
  • 1+ years of Dental Assisting experience (perio preferred)
  • Familiarity with dental software systems
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude
  • Reliable, organized, and comfortable in a high-level clinical setting
