Job Summary

The Account Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with major accounts in order to drive sales and revenue for the company. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in sales and account management with excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Job Description

Specific Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and goals
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers within customer accounts
  • Identify opportunities for business growth and expansion within customer accounts
  • Manage and report on sales pipeline, forecasting monthly and quarterly revenues
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery of products and services
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on account performance and sales activity

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Works to achieve operational, functional, and/or business targets within team with direct impact on departmental or job family results
  • Established professional; works under limited supervision
  • Works independently on moderately complex projects/assignments and contributes to setting objectives or goals of projects and assignments within team
  • Influences employees within the department at an operational level regarding concepts or practices and some advisement on approaches
  • Responsible for making moderate improvements of processes, procedures, or systems to contribute to the performance of the team
  • Problems faced are difficult and mildly complex and typically impact the job family and/or multiple teams
  • Provides assistance and training to other employees
  • May lead significant parts of moderately complex projects or processes
  • Requires advanced job knowledge and demonstrated competence within department, typically obtained through advanced education and relevant experience.
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in national account management and sales with a proven track record of success
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organization skills
  • A strong understanding of the market and industry trends
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
