Job description

We are seeking a Design Release Engineer (DRE) with 0โ€“3 years of experience in automotive interior engineering.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Experience with automotive interior soft trim and hard trim components
  • Knowledge of floor carpets, floor mats, headliners, and related interior systems
  • Experience with NX and Teamcenter
  • Understanding of DFMEA and DVP&R activities
  • OEM or automotive supplier design and release experience preferred
  • Experience supporting prototype and production builds


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, validate, and release interior soft trim/hard trim components
  • Lead supplier design reviews and ensure compliance with performance and safety requirements
  • Create and manage DFMEAs, DVP&Rs, boundary diagrams, and interface matrices
  • Support vehicle integration, testing, plant builds, and launch activities
  • Manage CAD models and drawings in NX and Teamcenter
  • Resolve engineering issues through structured problem-solving
  • Support cost reduction, weight reduction, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and manufacturing plants to ensure successful product launches


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Engineering or Business
  • Experience with DFSS or Shainin Problem Solving
  • In-plant launch experience
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
