Hours: 8-hour shifts – 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Location: Providence Medical Center- Kansas City, KS

As a Licensed Social Worker (MSW), your expertise and empathy will guide clients on their journey to improved well-being and recovery within a supportive, dynamic workplace.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): 

  • Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to formulate accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
  • Deliver individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based techniques tailored to clients' specific needs and challenges.
  • Respond to mental health emergencies, providing immediate support and developing safety plans to ensure client safety.
  • Collaborate with clients, healthcare professionals, and families to set therapeutic goals and adjust treatment plans for optimal outcomes.
  • Coordinate resources and services, advocating for clients within the healthcare system and connecting them with community support.
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, and progress in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy, required.
  • If currently registered as an Intern with a Social Work board; provide all educational and licensure requirements upon hire and maintain current.
  • Minimum one (1) year Inpatient, Post-Acute care, or Outpatient Behavioral Health
  • Current BCLS certificate upon hire and maintain current, preferred.
  • Master’s in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Licensed Professional Clinical Council or related field, preferred.
