Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute social media content strategies that support organizational objectives, audience engagement goals, and strategic communication priorities across multiple digital platforms.
  • Create, curate, schedule, and manage engaging content, including graphics, videos, written posts, multimedia products, and campaign materials for domestic and international audiences.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of English and foreign-language social media accounts, ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent messaging across platforms.
  • Coordinate with Public Affairs, Media Operations, Graphic Design, Regional Media, and Communication teams to ensure integrated messaging, branding, and content synchronization.
  • Monitor social media trends, audience engagement, platform analytics, and campaign performance to identify opportunities and optimize content effectiveness.
  • Develop platform-specific content plans, editorial calendars, and audience engagement strategies tailored to target demographics and mission objectives.
  • Track emerging narratives, audience sentiment, and digital conversations to provide recommendations that enhance communication effectiveness and audience reach.
  • Ensure all content complies with organizational policies, release guidance, branding standards, operational security (OPSEC) requirements, and platform best practices.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience supporting social media management, digital communications, content development, marketing, public affairs, or strategic communications.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and managing content across major social media platforms, including X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging digital channels.
  • Experience utilizing social media analytics tools, performance metrics, and audience insights to evaluate and improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience developing engaging digital content for diverse audiences.

Desired:
  • Experience supporting Combatant Commands, Joint Task Forces, government communication organizations, Public Affairs, or Strategic Communications initiatives.
  • Experience managing multilingual or international social media platforms and developing content for foreign audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating social media activities with Information Operations (IO), Operations in the Information Environment (OIE), audience analysis, media operations, or influence-related campaigns.

Pay Range:
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
