Job description

Unpaid internship for bachelor’s-level students in a counseling or human services related field (e.g. social work, psychology). This is a year-long internship in our substance use intensive outpatient treatment program, which is responsible for delivering 9 hours of treatment per week and serves adults, only. Candidates will learn about providing case management services, linking clients with local resources, facilitating curriculum-based groups, communicating with collaterals, observing and completing assessments, observing and documenting within client treatment plans, tracking and documenting client progress and intervening in client crisis situations.


Conduct case management activities, facilitate groups with clients, complete orientations and/or other individual meetings with clients, screen for social determinants of health, complete substance use assessments, assist clinicians with treatment planning, provide client updates to/maintain ongoing communication with collaterals and maintain timely and accurate documentation of services.


Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, working towards a bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field.
