The ideal candidate will be a creative problem-solver who combines strong social media instincts with analytical thinking, works well both independently and collaboratively, and brings a genuine enthusiasm for translating complex technical concepts into engaging content.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies across Ookla and our corresponding brands: Speedtest, Downdetector, Ekahau, and RootMetrics
  • Manage and grow our presence across LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other relevant platforms
  • Create engaging, well-researched content that resonates with our technical and consumer audiences
  • Collaborate with industry analysts and thought leaders to develop compelling thought leadership content
  • Monitor social media trends and implement innovative approaches to engage our audience
  • Navigate social media relationships with strategic partners while navigating complex industry dynamics
  • Analyze social media metrics and provide actionable insights to optimize performance
  • Develop and manage content calendars across all platforms
  • Execute and report on paid social media campaigns that drive measurable business results
  • Create engaging multimedia content including short-form videos for platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels
  • Support as necessary additional initiatives driven by the Product Marketing team

Job Requirements:
  • 2-3+ years experience in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Bachelors Degree in Mass Communications or equivalent working experience
  • Experience managing social media channels, with demonstrated success in growing engagement and audience
  • Strong content creation skills across various formats (text, image, video)
  • Experience with video editing software (Final Cut, Adobe Premier, Capcut, Camtasia)
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience managing social media content across platforms
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative marketing ideas and strategies
  • Experience working in B2B marketing is not required, but a plus
  • Experience working in influencer or affiliate marketing is not required, but a plus
  • Experience in the Internet or telecommunications industry is not required, but a plus
  • Salesforce and Hubspot expertise is not required, but a plus
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools and CRM systems not required, but a plus
  • Familiarity with AI technologies, particularly GPT models and their applications in content creation and social media not required, but a plus

Compensation Range
Ziff Davis provides a range for the base pay. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The salary compensation for this role is $60,000 to $83,000/year. Individual pay within the compensation range for this business unit specific role is determined based on a variety of factors including experience, scope of the role, capabilities to perform the role, education and training, as well as business and company performance.
