Role Summary

We are seeking a results-oriented Social Media Manager to lead the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of UWorld's social media presence across all platforms. In this role, you will manage and mentor a team of social media professionals while owning the social media marketing strategy, content creation, and brand standards to drive awareness and convert leads into paying customers.
Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Planning: Define and manage the annual social media marketing strategy, serving as the subject matter expert to position UWorld ahead of the competition.
  • Team Leadership: Develop, manage, and mentor a team of social media employees to ensure consistent execution, high-quality content delivery, and continuous performance improvement.
  • Content Management: Manage the strategy for social media content creation, ensuring it highlights the benefits of UWorld's educational tools.
  • Collaboration: Work as part of a shared services team that includes designers, videographers, and content writers. Partner with product marketing managers and internal teams to deliver targeted content and develop creative concepts for campaigns.
  • Performance: Create, regularly measure, and report on marketing metrics to inform strategy and increase visibility and engagement.
  • Brand Voice: Ensure a consistent brand voice and enforce UWorld brand standards across all social platforms.
  • Optimization: Implement SEO and SEM best practices within the social media strategy.

  • Demonstrable experience in social media marketing strategy, content creation, and digital marketing.
  • Strong knowledge of AP style and brand guidelines for professional, consistent, and accurate communication.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment with competing priorities and collaborate across teams.
  • Proven experience managing, mentoring, and developing a social media team, including setting priorities, coaching performance, and driving results.
  • Proven experience reporting on social media performance and presenting insights, recommendations, and results to executive leadership and/or external clients.
