Job description

The Social Marketing team focuses on ensuring the right content reaches the right customer wherever they are on social. We connect customers to relevant products through engaging, timely, and contextually meaningful experiences. We continuously evolve how products are discovered by translating customer behavior, trends, and platform dynamics into content that feels native, personalized, and aligned to how customers shop today.

The Senior Product Marketing Manager, Amazon Private Brands (APB) owns paid social marketing for APB — driving performance through the intersection of creative strategy, merchandising, and channel execution. This role translates category trends, cultural moments, and customer behavior into high-performing social programs that drive efficient spend and measurable conversion across Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, and more.

This leader will drive paid social performance for Amazon Private Brands by setting the creative and merchandising strategy that fuels channel efficiency. They will establish how products are selected, positioned, and brought to life in platform-native formats — translating emerging trends, seasonal moments, and performance signals into compelling programs, while continuously evolving strategy through experimentation and data-driven iteration. This role requires a performance marketing mindset paired with strong creative judgment and merchandising instincts — someone who understands how creative and product decisions directly drive ROAS, CTR, and downstream conversion.

As an Individual Contributor, you will operate in close partnership with the Social Marketing team, Amazon Private Brands marketing team, and creative teams — ensuring creative and merchandising inputs are tightly aligned to business strategy, optimization cycles, and efficient media investment. You will stay deeply connected to customer trends, emerging brands, and evolving platform formats, using those insights to inform both near-term execution and long-term marketing strategy.

Key job responsibilities
  • Own paid social marketing for Amazon Private Brands — driving performance and efficiency through creative strategy, merchandising, and channel execution across social media applications in formats that feel native, trend-forward, and conversion-oriented
  • Lead social merchandising strategy for Amazon Private Brands — curating hero SKUs and product assortments, identifying trend-driven selections, and partnering with category and merchant teams to align social creative to inventory and promotional priorities
  • Translate performance data (CTR, CVR, ROAS, engagement) into actionable creative and merchandising briefs, closing the feedback loop between what runs and what gets built next to continuously improve paid social efficiency
  • Partner closely with the Amazon Private Brands marketing team to align creative testing roadmaps with channel strategy, ensuring creative velocity and quality match the pace of optimization cycles and budget allocation decisions
  • Partner with internal creative teams to develop performance-informed briefs and ensure creative output meets the quality, format, and velocity requirements of paid social channels
  • Develop scalable mechanisms for creative-to-merchandising alignment, including seasonal planning calendars, intake processes, and post-campaign creative retrospectives
  • Communicate paid social strategy, creative rationale, and performance insights to senior leadership through clear, concise narratives
Basic Qualifications
  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
  • Experience guiding creative input, development and execution from concept to completion
  • Strong understanding of paid social platforms (e.g., Meta, TikTok, Pinterest) and how creative and product selection drive performance in discovery-driven environments
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ Years of experience managing performance marketing programs
  • Prior experience working alongside or embedded within a performance marketing function, with a clear understanding of how creative inputs serve channel optimization
  • Expertise in trend-driven, seasonally-planned categories (e.g., Home, Beauty, Apparel, or Outdoor) — a strong understanding of style-forward audience behavior and category-specific seasonal cadences
  • Experience merchandising or curating products within social or discovery-driven environments
  • Experience building creative frameworks, seasonal playbooks, or merchandising mechanisms that scaled beyond their immediate team
  • Experience defining product or tech requirements to support creative or merchandising strategies at scale
  • Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices.
  • Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences.
