Job description

Work Schedule: 

100% FTE, 40 Hours per week. Day Shift. Shift scheduled Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Hours may vary based on the needs of the department.

Do you have an outstanding eye for detail?  Are you familiar with medical terminology?  Do you like using the latest technology?  If so, we are seeking an Ambulatory Documentation Services Specialist to join our team as an electronic medical records abstractor. 

We are seeking an Ambulatory Documentation Services Specialist to: 

  • Apply knowledge of medical documentation/abstraction guidelines and practices (CDS Abstraction Guidelines).
  • Bring a keen eye for detail and strong healthcare software knowledge.  (Epic experience is preferred.)
  • Have good working knowledge of medical terminology as well as ability to use training and internet resources.
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Uphold the medicolegal implications and responsibilities of the healthcare record ensuring compliance with organizational, local, state and federal policies, rules and regulations, along with security standards and privacy practices.
 
Qualifications
 
  • No minimum education required.
  • High School Diploma Preferred
  • Certification or Associates Degree in Healthcare related field Preferred
 
Work Experience
  • 3 years prior healthcare related experience Preferred
 
Licenses & Certifications
  • Certification in a healthcare-related field Preferred
