This remote position allows you to work from the comfort of your home while offering outpatient therapy services. In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver individual, family, and group therapy sessions via telehealth platforms, tailoring your approach to meet diverse client needs.
• Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress, treatment efficacy, and potential adjustments to care plans.
• Document all clinical interactions and treatment updates in compliance with organizational policies and state regulations, ensuring accurate and timely records.
• Engage in ongoing education to stay current with best practices and emerging therapies in the field.

Your therapeutic practice will focus on working with individuals experiencing substance abuse issues and those with co-occurring mental health disorders, such as anxiety, depression, or trauma-related conditions. You will provide empathetic and culturally competent care, addressing both the psychological and social factors contributing to your clients' challenges. Your ability to foster trusting relationships will be essential in promoting effective therapeutic engagement and positive outcomes.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.
• A current, active, and valid license in good standing with the Board of Behavioral Science as either a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Demonstrated experience in providing therapeutic interventions, with a specific focus on relational and interpersonal dynamics.
• Ability to fulfill pre-employment conditions, including a tuberculosis screening, background check, drug screening, and ongoing compliance with state regulations throughout employment.

While not mandatory, the following experiences may enhance your application:

• Prior work with substance abuse or dual-diagnosis clients.
• Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities for dealing with addiction and mental health disorders.
• Experience with telehealth platforms and remote counseling techniques.

A Better Self Behavioral and Psychological Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to your salary, we provide a robust benefits package that includes:
