Overview: Mythical is currently seeking an intern to assist the social media & marketing department. Throughout the course of this program, interns will be involved in multiple facets of Mythical Entertainment, with a focus on social media marketing. Interns will gain hands-on experience while working closely with our cross-disciplinary Social Media & Marketing Content Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in social media and marketing and be pursuing (or recently graduated with) an undergraduate degree in a related field. This is a paid internship and will take place in our studio 2 days a week for (10) ten weeks. 


Responsibilities

  • Work with our social media and marketing team with various creative development tasks: 
    • Research relevant marketing and social industry news to craft a weekly roundup
    • Conduct research on featured Good Mythical Morning & Mythical Kitchen guests
    • Assist with social media captioning, community management copy needs, promotional and email copywriting 
    • Assist with light editing and graphic design tasks (cutting clips, resizing photos, GIF creation etc.)
    • Monitor Mythical and competitor socials to identify community management opportunities, relevant trends and short form content moments
  • Pitch social media content ideas in line with timely trends and relevant cultural conversations 
  • Shadow team for brainstorm/ production/ operational meetings, shortform video creation process and CRM meetings and building process
  • Assist our social media and marketing team with various organizational tasks:
    • Document upkeep (Social Content Calendar, Promo Best Practices, Social Best Practices)
    • Creating Marketing Plan templates for various needs/campaigns 
    • Assist with Monday.com input needs for marketing/social
    • Assist with Mythical Society website updates 


Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited university
  • Rising Junior and above
  • Strong interest in Social Media, Marketing or related creative field
  • Some experience in Google Suite
  • Some experience with Photoshop or Adobe Creative Cloud 
  • Excellent written and oral communication and strong interpersonal skills
