Marksman Security is seeking a dependable, alert, and technology-savvy Security Operations Center (SOC) Officer to monitor and coordinate response across our client portfolio from our corporate campus. This role calls for sharp attention to detail, sound judgment, and a genuine commitment to keeping people and property safe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor CCTV, alarm, and access control systems from the Security Operations Center
  • Dispatch officers and coordinate response to alarms, incidents, or emergencies across client sites
  • Respond to calls of distress or emergencies such as fire, injuries, or the presence of unauthorized persons by contacting police, fire departments, and/or local emergency response teams
  • Prepare clear, concise, and accurate incident reports and shift logs
  • Operate SOC monitoring platforms, incident reporting software, and email
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and clear radio/telephone communication
  • Manage multiple simultaneous alerts and tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Perform other duties as determined by the security supervisor

Qualifications

Applicants must meet one or any reasonable combination of the following:

  • Two years of customer service experience
  • One year of security experience
  • Law enforcement experience
  • Corrections experience
  • Military experience

Requirements

  • Valid FL Security D License
  • Valid FL Driver's License
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test
  • Technology skills: operate access control systems, utilize a computer for incident reports, operate security software systems or applications, use email
  • Strong customer service skills, professional demeanor, and appearance
  • Experience managing multiple tasks, executing radio and telephone communications, and performing in a medium to high pressure environment with frequently changing and/or competing demands
  • Familiarity with report writing
  • Excellent surveillance and observation skills
  • Above-average written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with client staff and the public
  • Comfort working extended monitoring shifts, including overnight hours
  • Trained in CPR and First Aid preferred
