Overview

Position Type: Seasonal

Description

The Guest Service Staff & Activity Attendant are responsible for the professional and safe operation of summer operations and activities, reporting to the Guest Services Supervisor/Manager and Activities Manager. This role involves providing guests with a fun, pleasant, and professional experience while visiting Arizona Snowbowl. Associates are trained to operate all Arizona Snowbowl activities, including but not limited to the Summer Tubing Hill, Bungee Trampoline, Rock Climbing Wall, VR Ski Machine and Treasure Panning, as well as operate the Agassiz Retail Shop, Gondola Storage Gift Shop and perform various tasks within the Guest Services department.

Qualifications

Essential Functions: Provide exceptional customer service by catering to guests' diverse needs with a friendly demeanor and accurate, polite responses to inquiries. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to engage positively with guests and create a welcoming atmosphere. Resolve basic problem-solving situations efficiently and effectively. Utilize computer systems, software, and phone systems proficiently. Adhere to department policies and ensure compliance. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the Sport Shop, Gift Shop, tunnel, and Activities area, including restocking retail items and maintaining inventory presentation. Perform various tasks within the department, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability. Display excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with colleagues and guests effectively. Set up, operate, and dismantle outside summer activities with precision and care.

Demonstrate a strong work ethic and punctuality, including availability to work holidays and weekends. Foster teamwork and collaboration by actively participating in group efforts and assisting others as needed. Commit to maintaining a safe work environment for both employees and guests.

Experience and Requirements: Eighteen years of age or older. Prior experience in a guest service-oriented role is preferred. Familiarity with Arizona Snowbowl facilities and services is advantageous. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Flexibility to adapt to changing work demands and schedules. Commitment to upholding company values and standards. Physical Requirements: Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds comfortably. Proficient in cleaning and maintaining department areas to ensure a neat and organized environment. Ability to stand for extended periods, catering to the dynamic needs of the role. Comfortable working in an outdoor mountain environment, adapting to various weather conditions and terrains.
