The opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University is currently seeking a Student Worker as a Service Coordinator for our Campus locationinThe Chandler Center. This position will provide office support to the Center by welcoming guests, answering telephone and email as well asactasliaisonbetween the Center and non-profit community organizations. Students will coordinate community service projects as well as provide onsite guidance and support to student service-learners at thecommunitynon-profitorganizations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain positive relationships with community-based non-profit organizations
  • Ensure student volunteers areeducation on community issues andengaged in service
  • Maintainaccuraterecords of student service attendance and participation
  • Provide office support to The Chandler Center (answering phones,assistingvisitors, etc.)
  • Attendandparticipateinbi-weekly Monday evening staff meetings
  • Accurately enter data intoThe ChandlerCenter databasesin a timely manner
  • Represent the Center with professionalism and an understanding of the work we do
  • Driveand transport volunteerswiththe Centerminivansas needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in an Undergraduate or Graduate Day program at SNHU
  • Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Community Service andCivicEngagement
  • Strong interest in developing leadership skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams, Excel, Qualtrics, Canva

Work Hours:

Flexible including weekdays, earlyeveningsand weekends (approximately 12 hours per week)

Degree Programs:

All degree programs can apply, but programs highly recommended to apply to include law and politics, sociology, history, justice studies, and communication majors.

Compensation
