Job description

Admission Specialist I

For hybrid roles, employees must be able to commute to Manchester, NH on a regular basis.

The opportunity

The Admission Specialist I will recruit and enroll qualified prospective students for campus undergraduate day programs. Additionally, you will assist students through the enrollment process. You will act as a liaison to other campus departments and serve as the student's advocate.

The Admission Specialist I must demonstrate SNHU's brand values and outstanding customer service in every interaction and use established guidelines to maximize opportunities from inquiry through enrollment.

Your primary job responsibilities will include territory management, periodic regional recruitment travel on an as-needed basis. Additionally, the job requires conducting personalized outreach to prospective students and families and performing informational sessions and interviews.

Finally, the job involves supporting on-campus event-related functions as assigned. You will work closely with the Admission team to accomplish the overall objectives and goals for the department.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities to leverage recruitment initiatives at regional high schools.
  • You will travel to local high schools and across New England, as needed; attend regular high school visits, college fairs, and classroom presentations.
  • Represent the university at events on-campus throughout the academic year.
  • You will perform supportive duties relevant to on-campus events e.g., information sessions, tours, activities, organization, and preparation, etc.
  • You will initiate dialog with prospective students. Evaluate the prospective student's needs, interests and qualifications while providing clear information to help the prospective student make an informed decision on program/course offering, delivery mode, and school fit.
  • You will present information regarding the school, program offerings, structure, accreditation, cost, and benefits specific to the prospective student in an accurate and ethical manner.
  • You will assist prospective students through the admission process in accordance with SNHU policies and procedures, and in compliance with all applicable regulations and accrediting standards. Promote university offerings to prospective students in accordance with their needs. The major components of the process include response time to new inquiries, student interviews, facilitating and processing the enrollment, and following up through Day 15 of successful term start.
  • You will assist with special projects as assigned by leadership.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Job duties and responsibilities can change at any time, with or without notice.

Compensation

The annual pay range for this position is $39,913.00 - $63,870.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $44,103.00 - $59,668.00.
