Job description

SNELLING, a locally owned & operated staffing and recruiting firm is seeking a Branch Manager to join a local bank. The Branch Manager is responsible for building a high-performing, member-focused branch that delivers strong financial and service results. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands consumer lending, can develop and coach employees, and is comfortable being accountable for branch performance.
Role Summary
The Branch Manager leads the day-to-day sales, lending, service, and operational performance of a Tyler-area branch. Unlike many traditional banking branch management roles, this position is actively involved in consumer lending while also leading the branch's teller and consumer lending teams, driving membership, loan and deposit growth, and holding the team accountable to measurable results.
Hiring Details
This position will be a direct hire, meaning that SNELLING would work with you through the consideration and interview process and if an offer is extended, employment would begin on the client employer’s payroll as their employee.  
Key responsibilities include:
  • Actively handle consumer lending and loan processing responsibilities in addition to managing the branch
  • Grow branch loans, deposits, membership, and overall financial performance
  • Coach employees on sales, service, cross-selling, and member relationship development
  • Oversee teller and consumer lending operations
  • Make sound lending decisions while maintaining compliance with applicable policies and regulations
  • Build relationships with members and identify opportunities to meet their financial needs
  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing employees
  • Represent the credit union through community involvement, networking, and business development activities
  • Ensure branch policies, procedures, controls, and service standards are consistently followed
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of retail banking consumer lending experience
  • Minimum 2 years of staff management experience
  • Previous experience managing a branch within a credit union or community bank strongly preferred
  • Hands-on experience with consumer lending and loan processing
  • Thorough knowledge of banking or credit union products and services
  • Understanding of applicable banking regulations and legal requirements
  • Knowledge of branch functions, policies, procedures, and operational controls
  • Proven ability to coach employees and manage performance against measurable goals
  • Strong sales, business development, and relationship-building skills
