Job description

Snake River Cattle Feeders is seeking a motivated Manager or Assistant Manager to join our cattle feedyard management team in American Falls, ID. Department placement will be based on your experience, strengths, and where you can make the greatest impact within our operation. This role provides leadership for a key department, with responsibility for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing budgets and resources, coordinating maintenance and equipment needs, leading and developing employees, and ensuring the department operates safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proactively manage planning and execution of day-to-day operations within department
  • Facilitate preventative maintenance program using MaintainX
  • Monitor quality control procedures
  • Manage, lead, and develop personnel
  • Promote a safety-minded culture
  • Set a positive example for employees by modeling safe work practices and following safety rules and policies
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, BQA, Agri Beef's Animal Handling and Welfare Policy and all other policies, rules and regulations
  • Participate in annual budget planning; operational budget and capital expenditures for department
  • Work with the feedyard management team to continuously improve feedyard processes and operations
  • Maintain a positive attendance record by demonstrating consistent and punctual attendance on a regular basis
