Job Description
A manufacturing company is seeking a SMT Machine Technician to serve as support for Engineers and focus on creating and maintaining SMT process equipment programs, profiles, and completing proper maintenance that ensures equipment remains in good working order. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Modify programs that support all equipment in the automated SMT production lines
  • Maintain SMT production line programs ensuring correct rev and data to be utilized
  • Proactively repair equipment as needed, build tooling/fixtures for production when necessary, and monitor machine performance
  • Train operators in basic equipment operation and preventive maintenance
  • Maintain preventive maintenance schedule and assist in maintenance strategy planning for new equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment and quality issues and provide feedback for continuous improvement
  • Perform All other duties as assigned

Job Requirements
Job Qualifications:
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED
  • Technical Certification or Associate's Degree in Electronic or Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • Must have three or more years' experience in the electronic manufacturing industry; Electromechanical skills are a plus
  • Component ID training or IPC or equivalent training/certification highly encouraged
  • Must have 1 to 3 years' experience utilizing UniCAM or equivalent CIM software package
  • Must have experience with program driven SMT/AOI equipment
  • Must have a working knowledge of IPC-610, J-STD, IPC 7711/7721, IPC-A-600, ANSI/ESD S20.20 standards
  • Must have specific knowledge of Screen Printing, Solder Past Inspection, Pick and Place Equipment, Automated Optical Inspection, and Experience in ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and/or AS9100
  • Working knowledge of stencil printers, wave solder machines, wash machines, reflow ovens, automated optical inspection machines, and microelectronics assembly process is needed
  • Must be proficient in computer systems including Microsoft Office Suites
  • Must have a strong affinity for mechanical technology, a proactive approach in preventive maintenance, and display a high-level critical thinking and analysis
  • Must be able to demonstrates highly motivated strong leadership and teambuilding skills with self-motivation, problem solving abilities, team spirit, and a "hands on" mentality
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
