Job Purpose:
Sets up and operates a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines used in the production of the company's product. Works from process sheets or written/verbal instructions given by supervisor to perform production tasks. Checks and inspects operation against predetermined tolerances.
Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:
- Must be familiar with Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) electronic components and
SMT assembly process. Know the different package types of electronic components.
- Must be able to set-up and operate automated SMT assembly equipment including
Screen Printer, Pick and Place Machine, and Reflow Oven
- Must be able to properly maintain SMT equipment.
- Able to interpret IPC 610 standards for acceptability and customer specifications.
Become IPC Certified.
- Responsible for quality of product produced on the SMT line (correct parts, polarity, etc)
- Must be familiar with and able to use hand tools, screwdrivers, pliers, cutters, etc.
- Shall maintain a neat appearance of work area to 5S standards.
- Shall practice safe work habits and report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
- Train co-workers and assist when problems arise.
- Willing to work overtime as needed.
Education and Experience:
- Must have 2 - 4 years of experience in running SMT equipment.
This is an ITAR facility and applicant must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident.
