Job Description

   Evaluates and develops processes that meet product performance, high volume surface mount manufacturing, high reliability requirements. 
   Constantly strives to improve the Cpk of surface mount processes by actively using SPC and problem solving methodology. 
   Determines failure mechanisms related to materials and processes for surface mount assembly and related processes.  Formulates and executes yield, reliability, manufacturability improvements under tight time constraints in a team environment. 
   Works with appropriate design, quality, operations and manufacturing groups to ensure product performance, reliability and manufacturability requirements are met.
   Individual will be hands on in creating paste and flux printing programs, AOI inspection programs, solder paste inspection programs and creating reflow profiles. This role will be hands on. 
   Individual will assist and take part in printed circuit board reviews with an emphasis on design for manufacturability.   

Education / Qualifications

   BS in Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering.
   Minimum three years' experience in surface mount technology
   Solid understanding of high volume equipment, materials and processes for a world class surface mount assembly line.
   Must be proficient in Minitab or other statistical analysis software and in Excel. 
   Demonstrated experience in improving yields, throughput and Cpk in a high volume surface mount production line.
   Hands on experience in creating solder paste and flux printing programs as well as SPI and AOI inspection programs. Competent in creating reflow profiles.  
   Knowledge of SPC, design of experiments and statistical analyses and has applied this knowledge to making measurable improvements. 
   Familiarity with Six Sigma tools such as failure modes and effects analyses and control plans to identify and prevent problems. 
   Ability to be an independent, creative thinker to solve cutting edge technical challenges. Welcomes a fast paced work environment. 
   ASM Siplace Pick and Place experience preferred but not required.  
   Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation Data

Salary Range:

$90,000 - $110,000

Please note: This range is based on our current market driven pay structures. Individual salaries are determined based upon a variety of factors including but not limited to, a candidates overall qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience as well as company internal equity.
