The Maintenance Technician sets up, operates, troubleshoots, and repairs a wide range of custom machinery, injection molding equipment, and robotics in a clean manufacturing environment. This role focuses on performing changeovers, conducting preventative maintenance, and rebuilding equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.

• Complete equipment changeovers and change physical tooling on machinery to support production requirements.
• Set up and operate all machinery in the plant, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Follow a preventative maintenance schedule, including oiling, lubricating, greasing, and performing filter changes on equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair up to 88 pieces of custom machinery, including injection molding equipment and robotics.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues on production machinery and support equipment.
• Replace motors, gearboxes, pumps, sensors, sprockets, and other mechanical and electrical components as needed.
• Build and rebuild machinery and subassemblies to complete repairs and restore equipment to proper working condition.
• Work safely and efficiently while supporting a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Collaborate with production and other maintenance team members to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.

• Proven ability to mechanically and electrically troubleshoot machinery and equipment.
• Hands-on experience with machine repair and troubleshooting in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Knowledge of three-phase electrical systems and motors.
• Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance tasks such as oiling, lubricating, greasing, and changing filters.
• Capability to replace motors, gearboxes, pumps, sensors, sprockets, and related components.
• Comfortable consistently working up to 60 hours per week as needed.
• Ability to set up and operate a variety of plant machinery, including injection molding equipment and robotics.
• Must successfully pass the SMT Test as part of the qualification process.

• Experience working with injection molding equipment is highly beneficial.
• Background in troubleshooting and maintaining robotics and custom machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to build and rebuild machinery to complete repairs.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs in a manufacturing environment.
• Comfort working independently and as part of a maintenance team in a fast-paced production setting.

This role is based in an injection molding facility that maintains a clean, well-organized environment rather than a dirty or cluttered shop floor. Current openings are on a standard third shift schedule, working Monday through Friday from 12:20 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., with the expectation of working up to 60 hours per week when needed. You will work around injection molding machines, custom equipment, and robotics, using a variety of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic tools and systems. Team members wear GMP work attire in accordance with facility standards to support a safe and compliant manufacturing environment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Cary, IL.

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $76960.00/yr.
