3rd Shift: 11 PM - 7 AM

Position Summary
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented SMT Operators to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment used in the production of electronic assemblies. The ideal candidate has experience in electronics manufacturing, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Set up and operate SMT production equipment, including:
Screen Printers
Glue Dispensing Machines
Pick-and-Place Machines
Reflow Ovens
Perform SMT machine changeovers and make adjustments for various product types and production requirements
Prepare component kits for manufacturing
Clean printed circuit boards according to established procedures
Perform basic soldering and SMT component rework (training provided as required)
Conduct visual inspections of SMT assemblies to ensure product quality
Interpret IPC-A-610 standards and customer specifications to verify product acceptability
Maintain accurate production and job tracking records
Use hand tools safely and effectively, including screwdrivers, pliers, cutters, and related equipment
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Follow all company safety procedures and promptly report unsafe conditions
Support team members by assisting with production issues and training coworkers as needed
Perform additional duties as assigned to support business operations
Qualifications and Experience:
Required:
High school diploma or GED
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with attention to detail
Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and work instructions
Mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic hand tools
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to work accurately while meeting production goals
Preferred:
Previous electronics manufacturing or SMT experience
Basic soldering experience
Familiarity with Surface Mount Technology (SMT) assembly processes
Experience operating automated SMT equipment
Knowledge of IPC-A-610 workmanship standards
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
