Job description

Job Duties

The Southwestern Minnesota Opportunity Council, Inc. (SMOC) Health Services is looking to hire a Full-time (30-39 hours/week with occasional evening and/or weekend hours) Registered Nurse (RN) to meet the needs of our growth and program expansion to meet increasing community demand and fully advance SRHS and Community Health supported priorities. This expansion reflects SMOC's commitment to whole-person care, improving access, and delivering preventative, responsive care across our clinics, community, and school-based settings.

The Registered Nurse (RN) functions within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of Minnesota, and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements as published by the American Nurses Association as the foundation of nursing care delivery and professional conduct.

SKILLS / ABILITIES:

-Valid unencumbered RN license in the state of Minnesota.

-Valid Minnesota Driver's License and willingness to travel between SMOC Health Services clinics and events.

-Maintain current CPR/BLS certification.

-Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

-Strong communication and patient education skills.

-Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

-Ability to lift 50 lbs. and withstand extended periods of standing and walking.
