About the Role

The Software Development Engineer III (SDE III) is responsible for the reliability, stability, and operational health of production systems supporting customer correspondence platforms. This role requires broad technical expertise and the ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies to diagnose and resolve issues end-to-end.

The SDE III plays a key role in supporting critical production environments by responding to high-priority incidents, collaborating across teams, and driving continuous operational improvements. This individual will balance speed, quality, and risk while helping improve system reliability, scalability, and overall platform performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members while consistently delivering on commitments
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to achieve project and operational objectives
  • Meet and exceed SLAs related to incident response and resolution
  • Ensure customer correspondence systems meet regulatory, legal, and audit requirements
  • Identify recurring production issues and implement long-term solutions to reduce incidents and MTTR
  • Monitor production systems and integrations to proactively identify issues impacting delivery, rendering, or personalization
  • Perform deep root cause analysis and drive permanent corrective actions
  • Maintain a production-first mindset focused on uptime, scalability, and rapid issue resolution
  • Contribute to Agile best practices to improve product quality, delivery speed, and team effectiveness
